The unseemly begging mission of the president of the United States to secure the 2016 Olympics for Chicago was another epic fail.

The committee was unmoved by appeals from both the president, his wife and Oprah Winfrey.

But it did promote the image that this president is not beneath anything.

In yet another asinine move, and they are coming almost daily from Barack Obama and his fifty czars, we are now going to assist Brazil to drill offshore for oil. Two friggin’ billion dollars of assistance!

But what about the environment you may ask?  The environment can go swim with the fishes as far as the socialist power mongers intent on destroying America are concerned!

Drill There, Si!  Drill Here, No!

Obama to underwrite off-shore drilling

You read that headline correctly. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration is financing oil exploration off Brazil.

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil’s planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a “preliminary commitment” letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount. Ex-Im Bank says it has not decided whether the money will come in the form of a direct loan or loan guarantees. Either way, this corporate foreign aid may strike some readers as odd, given that the U.S. Treasury seems desperate for cash and Petrobras is one of the largest corporations in the Americas.

after all, we can’t let Brazil suffer from the vagaries of OPEC controlled oil price manipulations now can we?

Oh, and Brazil has a socialist in charge now too!  Birds of a feather and all…

Not being an expert on Kenyan documents of any kind, let alone birth certificates, I will withhold judgement on this particular one until I hear experts render their judgements and their evidence.

One thing I will say is that Obama could put this whole thing to rest by releasing his original long form birth certificate to the public.  One really has to wonder why he has not done so.  Motive, motive, motive.

On Election Day I wrote about the intimidation of voters by the New Black Panther Party.

These thugs blatantly paraded in front of a polling place with a nightstick,  intimidated voters, and it was captured on film.

Open and shut case, right?  Not in the new racist order of Barack Obama!

Today the Washington Times reveals the maneuverings of the Obama political appointees who made the decision to not pursue a case the Department of Justice had Already Won!

Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the No. 3 official in the Obama Justice Department, was consulted and ultimately approved a decision in May to reverse course and drop a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party of intimidating voters in Philadelphia during November’s election, according to interviews.

The department’s career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division who pursued the complaint for five months had recommended that Justice seek sanctions against the party and three of its members after the government had already won a default judgment in federal court against the men.

Front-line lawyers were in the final stages of completing that work when they were unexpectedly told by their superiors in late April to seek a delay after a meeting between political appointees and career supervisors, according to federal records and interviews.

So, who is Thomas J. Perelli?

Why, none other than a former classmate of Barack Obama!  He also was a fund raising bundler who collected more than half a million dollars for the Obama campaign.  A regular FOOboy!

At Harvard, Butts was moot court partners with Tom Perrelli, who first met Obama at the dinner party and served as his managing editor on the Harvard Law Review. Perrelli, a Washington lawyer who had never been a fundraiser, would go on to collect more than $500,000 for Obama’s presidential campaign. He is now part of the Department of Justice transition team. CBS News

The delay was ordered by then-acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King after she discussed with Mr. Perrelli concerns about the case during one of their regular review meetings, according to the interviews.

Ms. King, a career senior executive service official, had been named by President Obama in January to temporarily fill the vacant political position of assistant attorney general for civil rights while a permanent choice could be made.

She and other career supervisors ultimately recommended dropping the case against two of the men and the party and seeking a restraining order against the one man who wielded a nightstick at the Philadelphia polling place. Mr. Perrelli approved that plan, officials said.

Even the NAACP is concerned about this blatant tacit approval of voter intimidation:

Kristen Clarke, director of political participation at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in Washington, however, confirmed to The Times that she talked about the case with lawyers at the Justice Department and shared copies of the complaint with several persons…

She said the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has consistently argued that the department should bring more voter intimidation cases, adding that it was “disconcerting that it did not do so.

Asia to go Nuclear: North Korea Starts the Race

In a slap to the face of Barack Obama, North Korea triggered what will assuredly become a nuclear arms race in Asia.  With a madman in charge of a nuclear option, the democracies of the region will be forced to follow suit as an act of deterrence.  Japan has already called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

By detonating a working nuclear warhead, North Korea also demonstrated its perfidy and fecklessness in claiming that it had shut down its nuclear program when, in fact, it was working to refine its failed nuclear design which resulted in the first nuclear dud.

Since the North Korean government has now demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that it cannot be trusted to adhere to any agreement, it effectively leaves Japan and South Korea no option but to match or exceed North Korea’s potential stockpile with their own.  Those governments cannot depend on the United States under Barack Obama to provide a nuclear shield for them, particularly as he is busy defunding the United States anti ballistic missile systems development.

Japan’s technological base and stockpile of nuclear fuel should enable it to develop an intial weapon in a six month timeframe if they choose to advertise their work.  South Korea may take a bit longer, but no more than one year.

The Russians most familiar with the area seem to agree.

Iran will now charge ahead full bore on its program so we will undoubtedly see an additional race in the middle east.

Governor Sarah Palin had it exactly right when she commented on a North Korea missile test in April.

Legal Insurrection reminds us that John Bolton was also right on the money in May and got villified by the “surrender” first crowd for it.

It’s Not the Crime, It’s the Coverup

The self adoring one in the White House definitely slept through all the shenanigans of the Nixon years, or else he thinks that he is truly above the law.

Not only did he diss New Yorkers with a stupid stunt like flying the plane commonly known as Air Force One low, slow and loud over lower Manhattan and New Jersey, now he is trying to cover up the fact that it wasn’t a ‘photo op’ as previously claimed.

What it boils down to is this:

You cannot classify photos unless they meet specific criteria.  No photographs of a VC-25 or F-16 circling the skies of New York Harbor need apply!

Air Force One Attacks!
