Hugo Chavez funds Barack Obama Campaign

Hugo Chavez the socialist ruler of Venezuela, fan of Fidel Castro, funder of terrorist and radical socialist political groups throughout South America, buddy of President Ahmadinejad of Iran and Vladimir Putin of Russia, the man who has been changing the Venezuelan Constitiution to enable him to remain President for Life, is also a good friend of William Ayers, buddy of Barack Obama.

Obama says he barely knows him, but in the years when he was meeting and serving together on the Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Fund, as well as launching his career with a fundraiser in Ayers’ Che Guevara-festooned house, Ayers made at least four Marxist pilgrimages to Caracas to praise Chavez’s dictatorial regime.

He sits on the board of a Venezuelan government think tank called Miranda International Center, focused on bringing Cuba-style education to Venezuelan school children. “

“Meanwhile, Ayers’ stepson Chesa Boudin has close Venezuelan ties, too. He identified himself as a foreign-policy adviser intern to Venezuela’s government in 2005. He had an office next to Chavez’s own in the presidential palace. Not surprising, since Boudin’s grandfather is Fidel Castro’s personal attorney, and his mother is jailed Weather Underground terrorist Kathy Boudin. His family ties give him street cred to communists.”

William Ayers was in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2006 attending the World Education Forum when he made the following comment:

“…I look forward to seeing how he and all of you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education…”.

Chesa Boudin is the son of jailed Weather Underground members Cathy Boudin and David Gilbert. He was raised by William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Such a background enabled him to sum up his life pursuit in the following quote:

“My parents were all dedicated to fighting U.S. imperialism around the world. I’m dedicated to the same thing.”

How many degrees of separation exist between Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez?

Hugo Chavez’s contempt for the United States is no secret. Here are some of his remarks from an address to the UN in 2006.

“Yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, from this rostrum, the president of the United States, the gentleman to whom I refer as the devil, came here, talking as if he owned the world. Truly. As the owner of the world.”

“…the American empire is doing all it can to consolidate its system of domination. And we cannot allow them to do that. We cannot allow world dictatorship to be consolidated.“

“We have to strengthen ourselves, our will to do battle, our awareness. We have to build a new and better world.”

“And this is to say that Venezuela is fully committed to combating terrorism and violence. And we are one of the people who are fighting for peace.”

“And I accuse the American government of protecting terrorists and of having a completely cynical discourse.”

Yesterday a court case in Miami shed light on how Hugo Chavez fights his war against other sovereign nations.

“The trial has also revealed the Chávez government’s determination to funnel state funds to its allies in Latin America and the lengths it will go to to keep the aid secret.”

“The eight-week trial centers on whether the Venezuelan government dispatched five men to Miami to coerce and cajole a Venezuelan American man into keeping quiet about $800,000 in Venezuelan state funds that Chávez’s associates allegedly tried to channel to political allies in Argentina.”

“In August 2007, customs agents in Argentina detained the man, Guido Alejandro Antonini, after he arrived at the Buenos Aires airport with the cash. Antonini, who had been close to the Chávez government, was soon released and went home to Miami. But as rumors swirled that the money had been designated for the presidential campaign of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the Venezuelan government sent operatives to Miami to urge Antonini never to reveal the truth, U.S. prosecutors said.”

“Maiónica testified that as the scandal spiraled out of control, Chávez assigned the Venezuelan intelligence chief, Gen. Henry Rangel Silva, to launch an operation to silence Antonini.”

“Those who participated in the alleged coverup expected to be paid handsomely for their work. Maiónica said he would earn $400,000. Kauffmann said the Venezuelan ambassador in Bolivia offered to pay him from a $100 million fund set up to aid President Evo Morales’s government.”

“For the Bush administration, the revelations at the trial have provided a glimpse of the Venezuelan government’s reliance on business associates to channel money and avoid detection, a senior administration official in Washington said. The United States has long warned that Venezuela was becoming a hotbed of corruption and drug trafficking involving armed forces officers.”

“They’re expected to move money when Chávez wants,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the delicate nature of U.S.-Venezuelan relations. “They’re moving around money to launder it and to meet off-budget expenses, whether in Bolivia or wherever.”

In Hugo Chavez we have the prime ingredients for someone hoping to undermine the United States by secretly funding a candidate determined to remake this country into a socialist state. Motive, Opportunity and Means. He hates and has declared war on the United States, he has access to the radical associates of Barack Obama and he has the funds, methods and manpower to support the attack.

I believe he has done so. I believe he is working closely with the government of Iran in this war. Iran has opened two banks in Venezuela one of which has been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury. This bank is a front for the clandestine operations of the Iranian government.

The United States has identified and sanctioned an Iranian bank used to evade previous sanctions against another Iranian bank used in the procurement of components for weapons of mass destruction.

The U.S. Treasury Department said the Export Development Bank of Iran supplies financial services to the Iranian Defense Ministry and military. Treasury said Iran has been employing EDBI as a front to evade U.S. and United Nations sanctions.

“Iran has adopted a strategy of using less prominent institutions, such as the Export Development Bank of Iran, to handle its illicit transactions,” Treasury Undersecretary Stuart Levey said on Oct. 22.”

The Bush administration also imposed sanctions on three companies alleged to have been owned or controled by the Export Development Bank of Iran. The companies were identified as EDBI Stock Brokerage, and EDBI Exchange, both based in Teheran, and Venezuela’s Banco Internacional De Desarollo.

It doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots. The audacity of the attack dwarfs anything we have encountered in our history. It is a direct attack on the most powerful institutions of our goverment and the United States Constitution. The ‘Fourth Estate’ of our government is so enraptured in shilling for a candidate who cannot even correctly cite the number of states in our union or presumes he will be president for 8 to 10 years that they refuse to devote even the most minimal resources into investigated the storm of controversy surrounding him. They have, in fact, become the fifth column of the assault.
