Why I Support the Iranian Freedom Fighters

Freedom is a basic right of all human beings.  Freedom has been stripped away from the Iranians by the theocratic regime which took power in 1979.  Today the children and youth of Iran are standing up and fighting for their freedom again.  America is a nation founded on revolution.  The revolutionary ideas that made us what we are, that all men are endowed with the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, have a kindred spirit with the people of Iran.

Like our forefathers they are placing their lives and sacred honor on the line, and suffering for it.  Some say that the new boss will be the same as the old boss.  I beg to disagree.  The biggest difference is that these youth have grown up under the restrictions of the theocracy.  They know how they have been deprived of their freedoms through religious intolerance.  They have felt the clubs of the Hezbollah and Palestinian thugs who have been turned loose to beat them into submission.  There will be no going back if the youth are victorious, and that will be a good thing for the world.

So I will pray for the revolution to succeed.
